Regional Business Development Specialist

Miller Environmental Group is seeking a dynamic Business Development professional in the Hudson Valley, NY or Northern NJ  areas to assist management with cultivating relationships with existing clients while aggressively developing rewarding new business relationships in this territory. Assist with regulatory compliance interpretations and recommendations as well as contract review, when necessary. Facilitate presentations for various size groups and submit weekly reporting of activity to management. Regional Business Development Specialist may report to our branch office locations in Rock Tavern, NY or Northern NJ.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Regional Business Development Specialist include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Solicitation of new business in all markets and business lines
  • Travel within the Northeastern US on a frequent basis and other regions infrequently
  • Producing timely documentation for internal and external clients (Clients, accounting, and agencies).
  • Represent the Region in corporate meetings and brief Senior Management on progress
  • Prepare, recommend, and administer budget for areas of responsibility with regards to Business Development
  • Assist Management in Building and maintaining positive working relationships with subordinates, peers, and management to promote team work
  • Independently and successfully manage projects from start up to completion
  • Maintain and build upon existing Client relationships

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and analytical skill
  • Superior presentation, facilitation and communication skills
  • Excellent project and time management capabilities
  • A creative individual who is also goal driven and detail oriented
  • Exemplify consistent professionalism, good humor and ethical behavior
  • Ability to travel, extensively
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work under pressure and time sensitive deadlines
  • Valid unrestricted drivers license
  • Professional appearance

Education/Training/Experience :

  • Bachelors degree in Industrial Health and Safety, Environmental Studies or equivalent
  • Five or more years experience in related field
  • Must pass fit for duty physical, extensive drug and alcohol screening, and detailed background check
