Operations Coordinator

Miller Environmental Group is seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working Operations Coordinator to be responsible for client and vendor relations, scheduling, coordinating with multiple locations for personnel and equipment, and inventory of shop and office supplies. This is a fast-paced, highly visible position and requires an individual with exceptional communication, organizational and computer skills. This position requires an individual that is team oriented, a multi-tasker, as well as, a strong individual contributor with a superior sense of urgency.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interaction with clientele and supervision and coordination of crews and daily job scheduling, invoicing, proposal writing, inventory control, provide leadership and direction to technicians/ drivers/ mechanics to ensure safe and compliant equipment/facility maintenance, DOT compliance knowledge for Fleet and drivers logs a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Handle scheduling and dispatching of crew and equipment, this may include after-hours and emergency mobilization.
  • Independently and successfully manage projects from start up to completion.
  • Ensuring maintenance on equipment is maintained in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate with Accounting in order to ensure efficient billing, invoicing, and collection processes
  • Ordering of parts and maintaining sufficient inventory of supplies
  • Employee and Client relations
  • Solicit new business and solidify current business relationships
  • Producing timely documentation for internal and external agencies and clients.
  • Fleet compliance
  • Dispatch employees and job information
  • Payroll coordination

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of DOT FLEET regulations
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks or Similar Programs
  • Ability to multi-task while paying close attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and time sensitive deadlines
  • Detailed oriented, creative, proactive and persistent. Individual must be able to perform

Education/Training/Experience :

  • High School Diploma or GED, B.S. preferred with
  • Transferable skills and experience/education in the environmental industry are required
